Chicken Pot Pie Pierogi Filling

To add chicken or not? Opinions are divided. What works for you? Makes 8-10 servings.

Ingredients:

• ¼ cup sour cream

• 2 tbsp cream cheese

• 1/4-pound farmer cheese

• 2 eggs

• 1/2 tsp garlic powder

• 2/3 tbsp Italian seasoning

• 1/3 tsp black pepper

• 2/3 tsp chicken granules (optional)

• ¼ cup chopped or julienned caramelized onions

• 1/3 cup diced chicken (optional)

Instructions:

Mix sour cream, cream cheese and farmer cheese.

Beat in eggs.

Stir in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, pepper, granules, onions, chicken.

Place by tsp into prepared dough.

Press dough seams with fork, pinch, or seal with egg.

Boil pierogis until they rise to top.

Boil 4-5 minutes longer.

Place into warm skillet along with 2 tbsp butter.

Brown until golden and crispy.
